Whee, isn’t this fun????  If you want to enter this giveaway, be sure to read this post!  The details matter.

I am giving away 20 copies of LORD’S FALL.  The books are signed, and they are in their envelopes, ready to go!  I am headed to the post office on Tuesday morning, October 30th.  The ONLY thing I need to know is where to send them!

This giveaway is a QUICK one, because I want to try to get the winners their books before the release date on November 6th.  This giveaway is also international–up to 5 international winners.

How does that work?  I pick winners for my contests via www.random.org.  IF the random numbers come up with a lot of international folks, the cut off is five.  The rest will be domestic.  This is my way of including the international readers in such a large giveaway.

TO ENTER THE CONTEST:

Comment here for a chance to win one of the 20 copies!  Answer this question:  what are your plans for Halloween?  YOU MUST ALSO INCLUDE YOUR COUNTRY OF ORIGIN.  This is to help me when I’m picking the winners.  If you forget this, you will not be entered in the contest, although I will be sure to enjoy all your answers about Halloween.

The contest ends:  6 PM MDT (8 PM EST) Monday, October 29th.  That’s tomorrow, folks.  Winners will be posted by 6:30 PM MDT/8:30 PM EST, and if I don’t hear from the winners BY 9 AM MDT on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 30th, I will give the prize to someone else.  So you must pay attention to the blog announcements.  The point is to get these in the mail on Tuesday.  It’s up to you whether or not you might be one of the recipients.

    I have to admit, I dont really have any plans for halloween.. we live in the middle of the nowhere.. Dont get any trick or treaters out here.. and im sick, so no parties.. Ill prolly sit on the couch, watch tv and eat candy.. lol

    I don’t know if I’ll be able to do anything this year. I wanted to go around the block with my 11 months…. but then Sandy might come for a visit. My 16 yo is not very bothered by Halloween anymore.So I really don’t know. If the weather is too crappy, we will chillax at home and I’ll make a roastbeef!

    I don’t have plans for Halloween. Trick or Treat was yesterday in my town and my husband brought my daughter out for that. Right now I’m hoping we’ll have electricity and all that for Halloween since I’m in Massachusetts and there is that big storm heading our way!

    My plans for Hallowe’en is what I have been doing for years. Taking my three children out in our neighbourhood. Or are they taking me?? There is nothing better then watching and listening to them running from house to house embracing the holiday the only way a child can, with complete happiness. This year may involve umbrellas but I great time will still be had by all. (Ontario, Canada)

    This will be my daughter’s last year trick-or-treating. She wants to go 1 last time, but “just 1 street”. lol After that, we’ll settle in watching A Nightmare Before Christmas, a family favorite, and enjoy some popcorn & apple cider. Not much else planned since it’s a school night.

    Hi, I’m from Australia and we don’t really do Halloween over here, however, every so often a child does come to the door and we madly race around trying to find something to give them. Last time it was a pack of biscuits I think lol. The kid did say that was ok as the last house they tried gave them fruit.

    Well I live in London and Halloween really isn’t a thing over here but it is half term so I might have a Harry Potter film marathon with my little boy (and lots of chocolate) or I could curl up in bed with one (or more) of my 9 cats and read my new kindle which proudly contains Thea’s 4 novella’s to keep me going until Lord’s Fall’s release!!!

    We’re allowed to wear costumes to work (I’m a librarian), so I’m dressing as a modern-day Medusa– trendy snakeskin-pattern jacket, jeans, and heels, peplos-style top, reflective sunglasses, and… oh, yeah, snakes for hair. :) (Maybe Seremela would let me hang with her later?)

    This is, of course, presuming that we have power and passable roads by Wednesday. ;)

    I don’t have much in the way of plans for Halloween. I’m going to sit home with my husband and watch It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown along with a few other Halloween specials. Maybe some of the old timey monster movies if they are on. We don’t get any trick-or-treaters, so I don’t have to worry about buying candy.

    I am english where it is not a big deal at all. We go crazy over bonfire night on 5th November to celebrate the foiling of the gunpowder plot!

    I live however in Northern Ireland where it is not really PC to celebrate bonfire night where large numbers wished they had succeeded! Instead they go mental for halloween.

    I will have switched off my lights and pretended I am not in for the few random stragglers who expect you to give them money on Wed night when they ring the door bell

    I’m from the UK and have never been into Halloween really, sure, growing up we gave out sweets but never went trick or treating ourselves…
    Now I’m in university Halloween has a whole new spin ;) I’m getting dressed up (I’m gonna be a Vampire victim) and heading to MEDICATION…a bar that has a pretty awesome Halloween night…confetti cannons galore…though last year I came home with half the contents in my cleavage ;)

    So yeah…dressing up and dancing the night away with my girlfriends, can’t think of a better way to spend it really!

We threw a party over the weekend for our friends to celebrate all things spooky, but on the actual day, we’re taking my daughter to a children’s farm during the day for her birthday, then claiming the evening for ourselves with a night at the theatre!

    I’m not sure what we’ll do for Halloween. We decided to leave Ohio and head south. I think we’ll be in New Orleans but we have small kids so it will be low key. Whatever we do, it will be without non-stop political commercials and in warmer weather :)

I will be over the Pacific Ocean returning to New Zealand on Halloween… I don’t know if Air New Zealand will do anything spooky to cheer us up (12 hour flight SFO to AKL) I am sitting in SF watching the 4th game of the World Series, and cheering on my adopted Giants (Atlanta Braves Fan) as I’ve been here all week having fun in the sun and loving being in a World Series city for the first time ever.

    My plans for Halloween are to hang out on the computer and hand out candy to the trick or treaters. My neighborhood gets lots of kids – they come by car and get dropped off to trick or treat here, I’m not sure why. So there’s no sense in trying to watch television because I have to keep pausing it every two minutes. :D I love seeing the really little kids who are experiencing Halloween for the first time, they’re so cute.

    My dad and I fight over who gets to answer the door to give out the candy. In between trick or treaters we stand at the top of the basement stairs and try to reassure our cat, who is hiding down there, that all the strangers coming around don’t signal the end of the world. :-)

    I’m dressing up as a black cat to lead my kindergarten class (a/k/a the groovy gravies) down the halls for the costume parade. Then we’ll have a little party. Weather is supposed to be really miserable – cold, wet and up to 50 mph winds. I’m just glad the kids went to Trunk or Treat last week and will get to have some fun at school.     In Belgium people don’t go trick or treating because we don’t have that tradition. But we love to make our house homey with lots of pumpkins,halloween candles and figuerines… This year i’m gonna carve a pumpkin for the first time together with my oldest. We also love to bake cookies and cupcakes for this occasion. And of course on TV for me and my husband there are lots of scary movies.

We have one that is going to be a princess and one that is gonna be pajama girl, those are my niece’s costumes and my daughter is going as a swan princess from the ballet. It will be freezing cold and absolutely miserable to be out but it will be the best day in the world because my little one will be super excited and the smile on her face will be worth it all.     Swedes are still very confused about this Halloween thing. It was unheard of when I was growing up. It collides with the religious holiday All Saint’s, falling the first weekend in November. People light candle on graves and remember their dead loved ones. So, we tend to get trick-or-treaters BOTH on the 31st of Oct and the closest following Saturday.
    I will probably follow my daugher (7) around the neighbourhood and give sweets to the kids coming to our door.

    We ‘shell out’ from our garage and usually have a HUGE amount of decorations in the front yard. The kids have to come up to the open garage door and walk under our blow up ‘grimm reaper’ LOL We LOVE Halloween. Still debating how much to put out this year given the expected wind velocities.     We don’t celebrate Halloween in my country although some places do organise a party of some sort. As for me, I’ll probably have a sleepover with my close friends and tell ghost stories :D I’m from Malaysia btw :)

    For Halloween, I will be hunkered down watching the rain, hoping there’s not flooding or a power outage— and most definitely dipping into the Halloween candy meant for Treat or Treaters.

    Never had a Hurricane Halloween before in Pennsylvania! Don’t think I’ll want another one either.

    Hi! I’m from the US! My Halloween plans are pretty simple. My homeschool group’s high school class is planning a costume party for the middle schoolers, so I will be helping with that. I plan on wearing some of my ballet clothes (pointe shoes and all) I plan on being a book character for Halloween, but I haven’t decided which character yet!

    Well, it is my 14th wedding anniversary and we have two kids so it will be trick or treating in the early evening. Once the kids are in bed, hopefully we will be snuggled on the couch watching our favorite Halloween movie, Arsenic and Old Lace.     Hi iam from Sweden and me and My boys have bought pumpkins to make Jack lanterns and put candels in them. We rented som nice children horror movies Scooby Doo always works for my boys who are 11 and 9 years old. We watch film eat snacks and have a great cosy time together.

    Now that my kids are grown, I have no one to walk around the neighborhood :( My youngest is 17 but when she was younger we would go to my mother’s and walk the neighborhood trick or treating. My brother lived around the corner so we would end the night there and my little one would hand out candy. We always had so much fun. Ah those were the days :)

    I’ll be spending Halloween driving an hour to our sister hospital and sitting in on job interviews all day….it will be terribly boring…then will come home to clean up the tree branches in the yard…a lovely trick or treat gift from Sandy…looking forward to a copy of Lord’s fall would certainly improve the outlook! :)

    I work for a non-profit that supports academic research. The big project I have worked on for the last year has a DRM restriction. I am going to dress as the “management” for the “digital rights” with my son’s cop gear (sunglass, handcuffs, badge etc) and “digital rights” on a brief case. I hope the people I work with “get it”. :)

After we get home, we will pass out candy to any trick or treaters then watch a family movie most likely containing dragons as that is my 5 year olds new love :)

    I start off early on Halloween, doing Halloween makeup for my 3 younger siblings and myself; then off to school until 5. Afterwards I’m taking my siblings and baby niece (her first Halloween, just like your Baby Doll) out trick or treating, then a small party afterwards. I cannot wait!
