It’s a sickness – this Series Lurve, ain’t it? – but one I actually love contracting!
Do you remember your first series lurve? I totally do! And back when I first started reading romance, series wasn’t the thang – the way it is now. It was mostly stand alone books – or the ones I was reading anyway. <silly Writer Lady>
First in the Velvet quartet
Anyway, my Aunt introduced me to Jude Deveraux, and it was her ‘Velvet’ series that totally reeled me in and gave me my first case of serious series lurve. It was pure genius! After reading the first book, Velvet Promise, I had completely fallen in love with the characters and I so didn’t want to let them go. I wanted to know where things went after the story’s ending, what about this character and this one. (And so the sickness beginsJ) When I found out it was a series, and I could continue on with the characters and meet others, I was so stoked!
Now, series are everywhere – it seems to be the way we writers write and plan and sell. 3-6-8 books. It’s a blessing for both the reader and the write, I think. Just as I love continuing on with characters that thrill me as a reader, I adore it as a writer too.
My latest series obsession is the FEVER series by Karen Marie Moning. I’ve never felt so in love, so drained, so pained, and so sad that the leading man doesn’t exist, in my life.

I love so many series I couldn’t possibly pick one so I’ll give you a couple. I love your Mark of the Vampire series 🙂 and the Elder Races too. Larissa Ione’s Demonica and spinoff, Gena’s LOTU and Kresley’s IAD.
Then there is Joan Swan’s Phoenix Rising series that just debuted with Fever. It was a fantastic read so I’m betting the rest will be too.

Right this minute it’s the Bridgerton series by Julia Quinn but I am really looking forward to reading the next Alpha and Omega book by Patricia Briggs. I’m a bit behind in my reading. Just love her books!!

There are so many great series to choose from. My classic favorites are IAD, BDB, Elder Races, Lords of the Underworld and Alien Huntress. I just finished Special Delivery by Heidi Cullinan and I loved it. Right now that’s my favorite series!
I LOVE series as long as the author doesn’t mess with my HEA in later books *worrying about Pia being H again in Lord’s Fall what are she and Dragos up to re their HEA?* But I digress and totally TRUST Thea of course to get us there alright *nodding and worrying*
Anyway, as you can tell I’m loving the Elder Races. Also I’ve had to reread Bianca D’Arc’s Guardian of the Dark series recently – in total. LOVE the couples and needed to revisit 🙂
Janet Chapman is an auto-buy for me. Currently her Spellbound series which is a spinoff from Midnight Bay series which was a spinoff from Pine Creek Highlanders. Monette Michael’s Prime series and her Security Specialists International series. And Nalini Singh’s Psy/Changeling series……just to name a few but I could go on and on. I love series 🙂
I love me some Jude Deveraux, one of my all time favorite books is Forever, I’ve read it at least 5 times 🙂 but as of late my favorite series is Christine Feehan’s Dark hunter series, very intriguing 🙂
Your books are greats! I also love The Black Dagger Brotherhood. I read so many series that sometimes its hard to keep them straight. I love my books!
I would have to say I lurve Kelley Armstrong’s Women Of The Otherworld series. I have never read such a long series and been in love with each book just as much as the last.I would love to win this so I could start a Mark of The Vampire obsession too 😉

I LOVE so many, my newest love is the Blood Curse series by Tessa Dawn, and I have just been introduced to the new Ancient Breeds series by new author AD Stewart, this looks like a great series in the making! The Love at Stake series is always a winner too, nothing like a great gut busting laugh and some action and romance all rolled into one from Kerrelyn Sparks. Of course MOTV is a given *winks*. I think also I might check out a few of the above mentioned ones as well…..there is always room for more of course….lol
Lorelei James is a favorite and of course I finished 50 Shades of Greay. I love so many authors ( you included of course) that I will read all the books the author puts out.

I adore series romance!!! I first fell in love with Lynn Kurlands De Paiget and McCleod series. Then after reading The Tapestry anthology I fell in love with Sherrilyn Kenyon and my Paranormal addiction began! KMM,JR Ward,Lara Adrian and also I still love Historical Romance series. A Friend (Tricia aka Pickyme) introduced me to Laura Wright and I LOVED her writing. So here I am a series addict 🙂
I love getting my hands on a series! I remember as a kid playing with my Barbie dolls and creating my own extensions to movies and books. It is so hard to let go of a character. I think I got hooked on series from Nora Roberts, but was totally sucked in by Sherrilyn Kenyon and the Darkhunters.
I too love series, too many to count now but always looking for new ones to explore. Newest one is Morgan Hawke, Intersteller Service and Displine series. Not for the faint of heart way hot! This is definitely not your Mothers romance series.

Hi Laura! After downloading Eternal Blood to my kindle, I was hooked. I’ve read all your “eternal” books. J. R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood series is a must read; Christine Feehan’s Dark series never fails; Susan Elizabeth Phillips books about the Chicago Stars football team are incredible. There’s nothing like an author that can make you laugh and cry in the same book. I could never forget the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton. There are just too many to choose from!!!! I love the Dark Hunters, that is where is all started for me. Yasmine Galenorn has 2 series out right now that I love. The Other World and The Indigo COurt series. ANd the Hallows!!!!

I like brooding vampires with a sense of humor so I love Katie Macalister’s Dark Ones series but the series that is my favorite overall is the Anne McCaffrey Dragons of Pern… The first 3 especially with elements of adventure, romance and most importantly Dragons!
I have so many favorites. Currently I am obsessed with MOTV. I’m sad because I am almost done with the last book and impatiently waiting for the next one 🙂 Other series would be The Dark Series, BDB, IAD, Dark-Hunters, and I could go on and on…and on. lol
OMG!! I love Laura and her MOTV series!! She managed to suck me in from the first page of Eternal Hunger and she hasn’t let go!!! 🙂 I am not sad about it though.I love every minute of it!! Plus the BDB is another of my favorite series!!

I am really enjoying the Guild Hunter series by Nalini Singh and The Grim Reaper series by Darynda Jones.
Of course the Elder Racer series is high up on my panting for the next release series list, I am also eagerly awaiting the next Edge book from Ilona Andrews, the next Iron Seas from Meljean Brook, and the spin-off series from Jeaniene Frost’s Night Huntress. With so many great series out there my problem is often which to read first; which is a pretty awesome problem to have.
I have so many and they’ve all been mentioned, so I’ll just add Eternal Guardians by Elisabeth Naughton and as I’m currently being put through the wringer with book 5, The League series by Sherrilyn Kenyon.
There are a quite few series that I absolutely ADORE! The Fever Series being my FAVOURITE. Barrons is a fantastic character! I also love the Hollows Series by Kim Harrison (her books actually inspired my tattoo). I can’t put down the books in the Kate Daniels Series by Ilona Andrews, The Cassandra Palmer series by Karen Chance, The Immortals After Dark series by Kresley Cole and The Guild Hunter Series by Nalini Singh. There’s just so many good reads out there.
I like the Lords of the Underworld and Immortals After Dark series.
I love series books! Stephanie Laurens, Nalini Singh, JR Ward, JD Robb, Lorelei James …. I could go on and on. Nora Roberts started me out with her 4 book series, like the Calhouns. I actually prefer series books, because I hate abrupt endings and I love the evolution of relationships and characters as time goes on.
Wow, how can i pick? I have SO many series I am in love with. Elder Races, Black Brotherhood, Sherrilyn Kenyon’s League series, Lynn Veihl’s Darkyn, Ilona Andews Magic series. I could keep going on and on…

Dakota Cassidy’s series, and the J.D. Robb series and the Sookie Stackhouse series are big favorites of mine! I loved the Fever series, but finished them!

Hmmmm there are so many to choose from. i would have to go way back in High school when i read Johanna Lindsey’s Love Only Once. the start of the Mallory Series. then there is also Judith Mcnaught’s Westmoreland Dynasty Series. and i loved Catherine Coulter’s Bride Series.
I love series! Paranormal, mysteries and contemporary romance. With a stand alone book, in the end it’s bye-bye to the characters, but with a series, I always have a chance to see again the previous characters and it’s like seeing family and friends. My first series was the Dark-Hunter, by Sherrilyn Kenyon, and the In Death series, by JD Robb, both in 2008 and since then my series to follow list never stoped growing up!
The MOTV series, by Laura, is one of my favorite series, I’m always anxious for the next book and it pains my heart the waiting…

I am a total series junkie! Seriously, I could list them for days & days. My current paranormal must-haves are your MOTV, Jennifer Lyon’s Wing Slayer Hunters, J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood, Terry Spear’s Wolf series, Kresley Cole’s IAD and Gena Showalter’s LOTU.
Think my favorite series would have to be Christine Feehan’s Dark series. I stumbled upon them completely by accident and it turned out to be the beginning of my introduction to paranormal romances. =D
I’m currently reading the latest sookie stackhouse I love series and prefer them. I just recently finished Under a Vampire Moon by Lynsay Sands (The Argenea series) these two series are some of my favorites but my favorite has to be BDB(V is awesome) followed by LOTU, and MOTV I will never forget and often refrence the night club up against the wall scene. So many others that I love Midnight Breed, Racheal Morgan, Psy-Changling, Arch Angels, Guardians of Ascension, Winged Slayer, Vampire Academy, Cat and Bones and Spin off series(cant wait for Vlad) Demonica, love at stake, and I could go on and on but I think you get the point cant wait for the next book.
I love Laurell K Hamillton’s Anita Blake series. I have read her books for over ten years 🙂 I love finding a new series because then at the end of a book, you know it will continue

I will only read a series because I love getting lost in a new world for a few books (especially since I read them so quick LOL) I am following over 30 right now and keep adding…The Elder Races and MOTV of course 😉 I am in the middle of Jennifer Lyon’s Wing Slayer Hunters right now and thank god she continued them!!!
Well…that was great to read! I have to say that LOTU was the series that I couldn’t believe I fell in love with. Not because of anything (as if there is!) negative about the books, but because I was more of a stand-alone book-reader. But Gena really made me care about all of her characters!
